Blain Watters
Blain Watters started writing in Kingston, ON creating pieces for antouring theatre group. After penning an entry in the TorontoInternational Teen Movie Festival he moved to Toronto to pursue his education. He wrote under Djanet Sears at U of T and Michael Healey and Judith Thompson while acquiring his MFA from Guelph U. Since graduating, his plays have shown at festivals such as Buzz, Fringe, and HotScrawls, and have been produced by Theatre in the Red.
He has written comics, featured in Feathertale Magazine, sketches for the Fauxhemians, and a short film that is currently playing at the Milan International Film Festival. His work has garnered interest from CTV, UK's Portman Films, and most recently, development from Theatre Passe Muraille. He is the host of the podcastRewatchability, which has over 10 000 downloads and was featured in the A/V club. After working with Screendoor on a television series based on the Fauxhemians, he is pursuing a career in writing for Television.
